Our Promise To Our Customers:
What Are The Benefits of Choosing An Instant Gas Hot Water System For Your Home or Business?
Instant gas hot water systems have a long list of benefits, including:
Instant, Continuous Hot Water!
Turn the hot water tap and get instant hot water for as long as you need it. No more waiting for hot water or running out in the middle of a shower.
Heats On Demand
Instant gas water systems can lower your operating costs significantly. They don’t waste energy heating large amounts of water in a storage tank.
Flexible Installation Options
Tankless units have a small footprint, so they can be installed just about anywhere. There’s no bulky tank to take up space, and most brands offer indoor and outdoor models to fit your needs.
Long-lasting and Reliable
The average life expectancy of a traditional water heater with a tank is around 10 years. An instant hot water system will reliably provide hot water for twice as long, with a 20-year life expectancy.
Varying Power Options
We offer instant hot water systems in natural gas and LPG to fit the power options in your home or business location.
Gas Hot Water System Installation and Replacement in Sydney
MPJ Plumbing is Sydney’s leading gas hot water system installation and replacement specialist. We’ve seen just about every problem with water heating systems. But, short of your water heater breaking down, how do you know it might be time to replace it? If your water heater is older than 10 years and still working, there are some things to watch out for:
- Your hot water system is making noises it never made before.
- You have to set the temperature higher and higher to get the same temperature or amount of hot water.
- You run out of hot water faster than you used to.
- You’re getting brown, red, or rust coloured hot water from the tap. Discoloured water is a sign that the inside of the tank has begun to corrode and rust.
- Your hot water system is leaking. Leaking water can damage walls, flooring, and cabinets and lead to problems with mould or mildew.
- You’ve called a plumber more than once to have your hot water system repaired. Repairs can be expensive, and it might be better to invest your money in a new unit rather than continue to fix the old one.
These are the symptoms of a water heater that may be on its last legs. With so many new options on the market, it makes sense to be proactive. You can save on operating costs with a new unit, and you won’t have to listen to your family complain about not being able to take a hot shower. Call MPJ today!

Troubleshooting gas hot water systems
Most issues that arise with gas hot water systems happen because of the following:
If you aren’t getting any hot water when you turn on the tap, first check to see that the gas supply shut-off valve going to the unit is on. The handle of the shut-off should be parallel to the gas pipe.
If you have confirmed the gas is on, check to see if the pilot light is lit. If your water heater has electric spark ignition instead of a pilot, you will not see a small flame when looking under the bottom of the tank.
If you have verified a lit pilot light, the unit may need a new gas valve, thermocouple, or another part. It’s time to call MPJ Plumbing to the rescue!
